My Infinite Doom

© By Emily Dannenhauer

One life to live,

One life to end,

My path is now chosen,

But not paved,

Walking down is my doom,

My curse,

Death Himself walks beside me,

Offering no comfort,

For His hand is warmer than mine.

Even though we do not speak,

I know what He says.

This was my choice,

Now this is my fate.

I look behind me,

But nothing appears.

No turning back,

Nowhere to hide,

Leaving my life and all of its lies,

In the warm hands,

Of Death,

My infinite doom
