The Wind is One With Me

The wind can whisper into the cracks. The wind can slither into them. My mask is powerless to the wind. The cracks shake and tremble as the wind begins to fumble. I shed a tear and it is caught by the wind forming a ribbon around it. On my face what takes its place is a mere grin. My eyes don't water. My lips don't curve. My teeth just glisten with the wind. A scream escapes my mouth it travels up and up like all sound, but is caught in my web of lies, along with the wind. They can't break free because I won't allow anyone to see. My face never leaves the grin, never flickers then and then. Who is the wind you may ask. Who is the one who can see and feel into my being. The wind is me. The wind is me, the wind is my feeble attempts to crack the code and finally discard my mask into the rode. But, no matter my efforts I sleep and dream with this mask for a day without an end.
